Image Dimensions
Open an image to see its pixel size, the browser-reported type, and the file size, without sending the file anywhere.
Your input stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
The file is read with the browser’s image decoder. Width and height are the bitmap size in pixels, not print inches or centimetres. Type comes from the file’s MIME type when the browser provides it. File size is the byte length of the file you opened, not the decoded bitmap in memory. EXIF orientation is not applied, so a phone photo stored sideways can report the stored pixel size rather than how it appears in Photos.
How to use it
- Choose an image file.
- Read width, height, type, and size in the summary.
- Use Image Resizer if you need different pixel dimensions.
Examples
1080p screenshot
A 1920 × 1080 PNG reports those pixels and a file size that depends on how compressible the screenshot is.
Phone photo
A 4032 × 3024 JPEG is about 12 megapixels. File size is often 2–6 MB depending on quality.
