About this tool

The crop box is defined by its top-left corner (X, Y) and its width and height in original image pixels, so the values are exact whatever the preview size. If the box extends beyond the image, it is clipped to the image edge. The cropped result keeps the original format. Because the image is redrawn on a canvas, metadata such as EXIF camera details and GPS location is not copied to the new file.

How to use it

  3. Check the preview and download the cropped image.
Centered crop: X = (image width − crop width) ÷ 2, Y = (image height − crop height) ÷ 2

Examples

  • Centered square

    For a 1600 × 1200 image, a centered 1200 × 1200 square starts at X = (1600 − 1200) ÷ 2 = 200, Y = 0.

  • Remove a border

    To trim 20 px from every side of an 800 × 600 image, use X 20, Y 20, width 760, height 560.

FAQ

Are the values in screen pixels or image pixels?
Image pixels. The preview is scaled to fit the page, but the numbers refer to the full-resolution image.
Can I crop to an aspect ratio such as 16:9?
Set the width, then calculate the height as width × 9 ÷ 16. There is no ratio preset.
Is the image uploaded?
No. Cropping happens in your browser.
