About this tool
Every letter is converted with the browser's locale-aware uppercase rules, so é becomes É and ß becomes SS. Digits, punctuation, spacing, and line breaks are unchanged. Scripts without letter case, such as Arabic, are left as they are.
How to use it
- Paste text into the input box.
- The uppercase version appears in the output box straight away.
- Copy the result, or use it as the new input.
result = text.toLocaleUpperCase()
Examples
Heading
"Quarterly report" becomes "QUARTERLY REPORT".
Accents
"crème brûlée" becomes "CRÈME BRÛLÉE".
FAQ
Can I undo the conversion?
Your original text stays in the input box. Lowercase or Sentence Case can reverse it, but the original mix of capitals cannot be recovered from the uppercase text.
Why does ß become SS?
German ß has no single-letter uppercase form in standard rules, so it becomes SS. The text can therefore get longer.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser.
