QR Code Generator
Turn a URL, Wi-Fi details, or any short text into a QR code that phones can scan.
Your input stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
The code is generated in your browser with the open-source qrcode library, at 280 × 280 pixels with a one-module quiet zone, and uses the library's default error correction level (M, about 15% recoverable). The QR code contains your text directly, so it never expires and does not go through any redirect or tracking service. Longer text produces denser codes that are harder to scan from a distance, so keep URLs short.
How to use it
- Type or paste the text or URL.
- Press Generate.
- Save the image (right-click or long-press) and test it with a phone camera before printing.
Examples
Website link
https://example.com/menu produces a small, easily scanned code.
Wi-Fi network
WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNetwork;P:mypassword;; lets many phones join the network when scanned.
FAQ
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is stored in the code itself, not on a server.
Can I track scans?
No. Scans are not counted because there is no redirect service. Use a UTM-tagged URL if you want analytics to show visits from the code.
What size should I print?
A common rule of thumb is at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 in), and larger for scanning from a distance. Always test the printed code.
