About this tool

Each non-empty line becomes a <url> entry with a <loc> element inside a <urlset> that uses the sitemaps.org 0.9 namespace. Ampersands and angle brackets are escaped for XML. The generator does not add lastmod, changefreq, or priority. Google ignores changefreq and priority, and only uses lastmod when it is accurate. A single sitemap file can list up to 50,000 URLs and be up to 50 MB uncompressed.

How to use it

  1. Paste absolute URLs, one per line, including https://.
  2. Copy the XML.
  3. Save it as sitemap.xml at your site root and reference it in robots.txt.

Examples

  • Small site

    https://example.com/, https://example.com/about, and https://example.com/contact become three <url> entries.

  • Query strings

    https://example.com/?a=1&b=2 is written as https://example.com/?a=1&amp;b=2 so the XML stays valid.

FAQ

Should I include every page?
Include the canonical URLs you want indexed. Leave out redirects, error pages, and pages marked noindex.
Can I use relative URLs?
No. Sitemaps require absolute URLs on the same host as the sitemap.
Is my URL list uploaded?
No. The XML is built in your browser.
