PDF Metadata Viewer
Open a PDF to inspect the document information dictionary: title, author, page count, and creation or modification dates when they are present.
Your input stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
The viewer reads the fields the PDF stores in its info dictionary (and, when available, equivalent XMP). Many exported files leave title and author blank, or fill them with a generic app name. Page count is the number of page objects, not a word count. Dates follow the PDF date format when the writer set them. The file is parsed locally; SmartKitio does not receive a copy.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF.
- Read the listed fields.
- If a field is empty, the writer never set it.
Examples
Printed report
A report exported from a word processor often has a title and an author; a scan-to-PDF may have neither.
