About this tool
Each object becomes one row. The header row is the union of all keys, in the order they first appear, so objects with missing keys get empty cells. Nested objects and arrays are written as JSON text inside the cell. Values containing a comma, quote, or line break are wrapped in double quotes, and inner quotes are doubled. The delimiter is always a comma, and a single object is treated as a one-row table.
How to use it
- Paste a JSON array of objects.
- Convert and check the CSV preview.
- Download or copy the CSV and open it in your spreadsheet app.
Examples
Two rows
[{"name":"Ana","age":31},{"name":"Ben"}] becomes name,age / Ana,31 / Ben, (empty age).
Nested value
{"tags":["a","b"]} becomes a tags cell containing "[""a"",""b""]".
FAQ
Can I use semicolons instead of commas?
Not in this tool. Some spreadsheet apps in European locales expect semicolons; use their import dialog to choose comma as the delimiter.
Why are accented characters wrong in Excel?
Some versions of Excel assume a legacy encoding when opening CSV files directly. Use Data › From Text/CSV and choose UTF-8.
What input is rejected?
Arrays that contain non-objects, such as [1, 2, 3], and invalid JSON.
