About this tool
Pressure is force per area. All values pass through the pascal (N/m²). One atmosphere is defined as 101,325 Pa.
How to use it
Enter a pressure, pick units, and read the converted value. Negative values are rejected.
value_to = value_from Ă (from_in_pascals / to_in_pascals)
Examples
1 atm to psi
101,325 / 6,894.757 â 14.696 psi.
32 psi to bar
32 Ă 0.0689476 = 2.20632 bar.
1 atm to kPa
1 Ă 101.325 = 101.325 kPa.
Every unit expressed in pascals
| Unit | Equal to (Pa) |
|---|---|
| 1 pascal (Pa) | 1 |
| 1 kilopascal (kPa) | 1,000 |
| 1 bar (bar) | 100,000 |
| 1 standard atmosphere (atm) | 101,325 |
| 1 pound per square inch (psi) | 6,894.757293 |
| 1 millimeter of mercury (mmHg) | 133.3223874 |
FAQ
Is mmHg the same as torr?
They are treated as equal here (1 mmHg = 133.322 Pa).
Gauge or absolute?
This tool converts unit scales only. It does not add or subtract atmospheric pressure.
Does the converter handle gauge versus absolute pressure?
It changes units only. A gauge reading (relative to the surrounding air, as tire pressures are) stays a gauge reading after conversion, and an absolute reading stays absolute.
